My name is Dr. Joseph Herrmann, and I founded The HOLE Foundation and then started The HOLE Truth Project because like you, I know how frustrating it can be to get records from the government - especially when they document corruption and secrets they don't want to disclose. 

​

I know this because In early 2025 I began trying to get my own records from El Paso Texas. The first thing I did was sign up to the leading transparency organizations just as I am sure you have. and just like you they told me, no, sorry, we only take journalists - no regular citizens allowed.

​

How ironic is that - a transparency organization that says they're supporting democracy, but they operates like a secret club - journalists only? Gatekeepers for who gets to use their tools to request records. I found that unacceptable. The Public's records already belong to the public, and the tools to request them should be free for everyone. And now they are. 

 

I started the HOLE Foudnation to show everyone how to get any records, no press credentials required. Additionally we will post regular updates showing how our process is superior to using traditional tools. documenting the records we've liberated and proving that our system works, and it works really well.

 

You see, we aren't journalists, so we had to do it ourselves, and we've come up with a process that gets better results using only the tools. you already have - ChatGPT, Claude, Mistral - all of them will do, once you know how to use them properly.

 

This site documents everything we've learned about using artificial intelligence to get government records - any records, even the records they will try almost anything to keep from you.

 

Along with this we will post regular updates showcasing how we're using these tools to get amazing results. We have begun uncovering government corruption on a large scale.

 

The HOLE Foundation is built on the belief that artificial intelligence offers the possibility of policing democracy in a HOLE new way. Eventually we want to build our own systems by partnering with AI providers to build something like big brother, for the public to spy on the government, not the other way around. 

 

We believe this is the best use of this new technology and that it will revolutionize the way citizens keep their government accountable.
